REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

DATABUS NETWORK TESTER (DBNT)

Background
This is a Request for Information (RFI) for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this RFI.

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) requires a DBNT that is capable of troubleshooting 1) MIL-STD-1553B, 2) Ethernet, and 3) ARINC-429 buses in military aircraft. The acronym "DBNT" will hereafter be used to represent a combination 1553B/Ethernet/ARINC-429 bus tester. Note that the Government seeks to identify an integrated tester that can troubleshoot the wiring and components of all three of the above-mentioned buses, not three separate units. The user of the tester will be tasked to determine whether there are faults (e.g., opens, shorts, failed components, and excessive line loss) in the wiring system of the bus, not necessarily whether a Remote Terminal is operational.
