Dam Removal Project
This project consists of, but is not limited to, removal of an earth-fill and concrete dam. A portion of the concrete spillway (39 linear feet), and 157 feet of concrete core wall and earthen embankment will be removed as per plans. A new channel will be excavated through the existing impounded sediment. Sediment and earthen fill will be disposed of on-site to form floodplain terraces. Concrete will be hauled off site and legal disposal is the responsibility of the contractor. Existing marble riprap will be reused to stabilize river banks. Floodplain and lawn area will be seeded and mulched.
