Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance Update
The County prepared the current Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance in 2008. Circumstances have significantly changed since that time. The newly created Agriculture/Industrial Park, has two new tenants and promises to grow upwards of 500+ acres. It is currently in the running to be awarded one of Iowa’s first “Shovel Ready” sites. The dependence of other co-locates could significantly change the goals and priorities expressed in the current Comprehensive Plan.
