Comprehensive Plan
The City is soliciting qualified consulting firms to submit a proposal to prepare a Comprehensive Plan for the City. The first City Plan (comprehensive plan) was adopted in 1957, and the plan has been updated from time to time. The Comprehensive Plan was last updated in 2000; however, many components of that update were not officially adopted. The City is therefore seeking a new update to the Comprehensive Plan which will serve as the principal planning document for the City’s future growth. The Land Use component of the plan should receive particular attention. The plan shall contain practical policies which will promote the physical development of the community in a coordinated, consistent manner and which will be embraced by community decision-makers and subsequently adopted officially.
