Cogeneration Plant Operations and Maintenance
The electric distribution system serving the campus is presently 26 kV. Internal distribution throughout
the campus is done at 4160 volts and is maintained by the University. The University receives its
electrical supply through an existing cogeneration facility located on the campus. This unit provides
approximately 4.3 MW of demand. The cogeneration plant is operated by the University and provides
all of the electricity and steam requirements.
