CONSULTING SERVICES-IT FOR THE E-TEAM CONSOLIDATION & UPGRADE
This project will
accomplish two major goals: 1) upgrade the Hardware to provide current and less-expensive
technology and operate the application on a central set of servers, and 2) provide new
software to all users statewide.
New Jerseys Incident Management software application, E-Team, was purchased from NC4.
E-Team is a collaborative crisis management/incident management software tool that provides
management support in the areas of emergency preparedness, response, and recovery. A key
benefit of E-Team comes from its ability to provide a common operating picture through real-time
sharing and integration of information during an incident. An integrated GIS engine based on
ESRI ArcIMS provides mapping and geo-location capabilities for incidents. Modules within
E-Team are based on the Incident Command System (ICS) and years of emergency
management best practices. The current topology operates on 31 disparate and aging servers
located at county & state locations throughout New Jersey. Each of these servers is a potential
single point of failure for that entity and there is no hardware redundancy.
