COMPUTER EQUIPMENT REPAIR SERVICES
The purpose of this
RFP is to solicit bid proposals for the repair of personal computers and related hardware such as
monitors, printers, scanners, LCD projectors, file and print servers, etc. and all components
specified in this RFP and being used by State governmental entities.
The goal of the State, under this RFP, is to establish an IT equipment service methodology
based upon the purchase of Service Credit Units (SCU) for various categories of equipment.
SCUs are fixed cost units for repair service that include a combination of an average all-inclusive
hourly rates and the average cost of materials to repair equipment in specific categories (i.e.
fixed parts and labor repairs). Bidders will propose a fixed SCU price, based on their
experience, on the average total cost to repair equipment in each category specified. The
contractor will be paid one SCU to complete each repair. Participating State Using Agencies may
purchase SCUs in lots to be used toward future repairs for qualifying equipment. The State will
not be held to a minimum or maximum purchase of SCUs.
