BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES DATABASE RE-ENGINEERING PROJECT
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit bid proposals for computer database services and
products. More specifically, the BPU is seeking a comprehensive database system with a totally integrated solution that allows local BPU users access via the internal network, as well as remote users in the field access through thestate Portal. The proposed system must support all existing
programs and data as well as establish a modular approach to the solution. The proposed
system must also combine both creative excellence through clear communication of the Board’s
mission and enhance the functionality of the Divisions by increasing the ability of users to achieve
all required business needs. The proposed system must also have the ability to run independent
queries, reports, graphs, and the like. The system must support electronic filing of documents by
consumers, utilities, attorneys, legislators, etc. These enhancements will enable the BPU to
effectively and efficiently carry out its duty to the consumers of the State
