Attorney services will play an important role in the efficient operation of the Authority. These services will require interaction with senior and other Authority staff, Board Members, elected and appointed officials, federal, state and local housing agency staff and other housing providers, landlords, housing developers, not-for-profit agencies, and the state and federal court system and administrative agencies.
It is expected that the individual or firm selected will be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities in a variety of areas, including but not limited to the following:
Parliamentary Procedure and Robert's Rules of Order
General Municipal Law in Illinois
The Open Meetings Act and the Freedom of Information Act
Land Use and Zoning Processes and Procedures
Defense of Insurance Claims and the Illinois Tort Immunity Act
