Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation issues RFP to meet projected capacity and associated long-term energy needs
Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC) announced that the cooperative has issued a request for proposal (RFP) to secure additional generating capacity and associated energy needs for its members. According to Ricky Bittle, vice president of planning, rates and dispatching for AECC, proposals must range between 50 megawatts (net) and 500 megawatts (net). The proposals must be for firm baseload or intermediate duty. Renewable resources should be 2 megawatts or greater.
