Waiting room furniture replacement

PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 DESCRIPTION:
A. The VACCHCS, Fresno is specifying patient guest chair seating for our Main Campus located at 2615 E. Clinton Ave Fresno, CA 93703.
1.2 RELATED WORK:
A. Color, finish, and fabric selection of furniture.
1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE:
A. Manufacturer's Qualification: Submit evidence that the manufacture has a minimum of three (3) years experience in providing item of type specified, and that the furniture has performed satisfactorily on similar installations.
1.4 SUBMITTALS:
A. Submit in accordance PRODUCT DATA, AND SAMPLES.
B. Samples:
1. Fabric Vinyl: 610 mm (24 inch) square, showing color, finish and texture.
2. Metal frame: Strike-off sample
C. Manufacturer's literature and data; showing details of construction and hardware for:
Furniture and fabric
D. Fire Testing: Submit report of flame spread and smoke developed during product material tests by independent testing laboratory.
E. Manufacturer s warranty.

1.5 WARRANTY:
A. Manufacturer Warranty: Manufacturer shall warranty their furniture and fabric,
for a minimum of five (5) years from date of installation and final acceptance by the Government. Manufacturer s standard non-depreciating twenty five year limited warranty. Submit manufacturer s warranty.
PART 2 PRODUCTS
All products and components shall be new. Refurbished products will not be accepted for this acquisition. All products shall be commercial grade furniture for use in a healthcare facility. All products shall be on GSA schedule.

Frame: Silver Metallic, Easy clean out. Silver Ion Antimicrobial (Design of furniture components should be made of steel, containing 37 percent recycled content and is 100 percent recyclable. Components are to be powder coat painted with a finish that emits negligible volatile organic compounds (VOC S)).

Flammability: All furniture possessing a combustible capability must be certified or bear a statement or tag that it meets, or was tested under the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association 260 or 261 Standard. All materials shall comply with NFPA 703 Standard for Fire Retardant Impregnated Wood and Fire Retardant Coatings for building materials.
2.3 CLEANABILITY
All furniture and materials including fabric shall be easy to clean by wiping down with with 10% bleach to 90% water solution.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.1 DELIVERY
Delivery location will be VA CCHCS, Fresno.

3.2 STORAGE
If necessary, vendor shall be responsible for storage of items prior to delivery to the VA Fresno Facility. Delivery date shall be agreed upon by the VA Fresno Interior Designer before delivery to our facility is initiated.

3.3 DELIVERY:
A.Unboxing and assemble (if necessary) shall be to factory instructions. The VA will not provide labor, tools, materials or hardware for this contract.

3.4 CLEANING AND PROTECTION:
A. Provide final protection and maintain conditions that ensure that furniture is without damage or deterioration.
B. Replace damaged furniture that cannot be repaired, in a manner approved by the VA Interior Designer within 30days of install.
3.5 Quality Assurance
Manufacture Qualifications: Obtain furniture through one source from a single manufacturer with a minimum of ten years experience and minimum of five projects of similar scope and size in manufacturing products comparable to those specified in this section. All debris/trash associated with the unboxing, wrapping materials shall be removed from the VACCHCS facilities by the vendor to be disposed of responsibly. VACCHCS, Fresno has the right to reject any product that does not satisfy the construction or color requirements.

3.5 WORKSITE PREPARATION
A. Dock to Dock delivery, not worksite preparation required.



3.6 SUPPORTING INFORMATION
A. Special Considerations Delivery location is 2615 E. Clinton Ave Fresno, CA 93703. The VA will not assist in fulfilling any requirements of the vendor unless specified.
D. Contractor Furnished Materials All supervision, labor, materials and tools to complete the work identified.
E. Government Furnished Materials and Services Access for deliveries. All operating hours exclude 2018/2019 Government holidays listed. No overtime will be granted for this project.
F. Security Requirements Contractor personnel shall carry a government issued ID, (ex: License) and be accompanied by VA Medical Center, Fresno Interior Designer while on campus. Personnel installing at the main facility shall report immediately to VA Police Services located at the ED in order to be issued a contractor s badge. Contractor personnel shall be required to wear a company uniform in for identification purposes. (Example: company t-shirt.)
G. Smoking Policy. The Contractor shall not be allowed to smoke in any building. The Contractor shall ensure employees smoke only in designated outdoor areas, 50 feet away from buildings.
H. Parking/Traffic Regulations. Parking Permit Request form must be completed if required.
The Contractor shall not park on grassy areas unless approved by the COTR and the Contractor agrees to restore areas back to VA standards. Drivers should be particularly concerned with pedestrian traffic. Yield to pedestrians in crosswalks. Posted speed limits and all other traffic controls are to be observed by operators at all times. Seat belt use is mandatory on the VA grounds.
