Sole Source. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), Arizona, intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with VJ Technologies Inc. located at 89 Carlough RD Bohemia, New York 11716-2903. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG) has a requirement to provide a quantity of one (1) Varex Modular Linear Accelerator (M6A) Linear Accelerator (LINAC) and a quantity of one (1) Perkin Elmer XRD 1620 AN20 CS Digital Detector. This requirement will replace the existing unit, which has reached its operational life. This requirement will be awarded on a sole source basis due to proprietary rights and integration of existing equipment. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items FAC 2019-03, effective 12 Jun 2019. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) Code is 334517 with a standard size of 1,000 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
