MARKET RESEARCH / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) - NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS

Product Service Code (PSC) 4540 - Waste Disposal Equipment

The Trident Refit Facility (TRF) is responsible for providing unparalleled maintenance and logistics support to the nationbs submarine force of Ballistic Missile Submarines (SSBN), Nuclear Powered Guided Missile Submarines (SSGN), and Nuclear Powered Submarines (SSN). The Strategic deterrence mission remains the Nation and TRFbs top mission.

A DRAFT Description of Requirements (DOR) is attached to the sources sought notice/request for information.

A Firm Fixed Price (FFP) requirements contract is anticipated. The anticipated requirement date is Mid-November 2019.
This requirement is intended to be awarded as a sole source (please see attached justification).

Interested vendors are requested to submit a capability statement outlining their ability to exactly meet this requirement no later than 12:00PM (Eastern Standard Time), Monday, 23 September 2019, to Joseph Tolbert at joseph.d.tolbert@navy.mil stating the following information:

1.    Sources Sought Number
2.    Company name, , address, POC name, phone number, fax number and email
3.    Contractor (CAGE Code) (DUNS number)
4.    Contractor must identify as a Contractor cleared by the Department of Defense.

5.    Size of business - Large Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantage, 8(a), HubZone, Woman-owned and/or Veteran-owned
6.    If the supplies can be solicited from a General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule Number, Seaport, Unison Marketplace, or open market.
7.    Salient characteristics of the supplies being proposed must meet the exact requirements by the Government, in accordance with the attached DRAFT Description of Requirements (DOR). Contractor must meet welding standards/certifications that meet NAVSEA requirements and General Dynamic Electric Boats designs.
8.    Corporate experience should include the applicable contract number, contract period of performance, a brief description of the services and supplies provided, and the relevancy of the services and supplies to the proposed requirement.


The Government will use the result of this announcement to determine whether the acquisition of the above requirement should be solicited as a Small Business Set-Aside, or whether Full and Open Competition procedures will be utilized.

Submissions are Not-To Exceed (NTE) 10 Standard typewritten pages in 12 point Times New Roman font. All technical questions and inquiries may be submitted within the response.
