Spare Engine Overhaul
This is the official solicitation notice for the Spare Engine Overhaul required at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) for the engine is a Caterpillar Diesel engine model number 3408, S/N 78Z04122. The contractor shall provide all management, labor, materials, tools and machinery to prepare the engine for starting after being in long term storage. As a minimum the contractor shall change remanufacture cylinder packs, remanufacture heads, remanufacture turbo, remanufacture oil pump, remanufacture water pump, remanufacture injectors, oil cooler core, remanufacture starter, rod & main bearings, reassemble the engine with new gaskets and seals.
