Replace Camp Hot Water Heater
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, located in Danbury, Connecticut, here by issues solicitation IFBP02031500002 for the award of a firm fixed price construction contract for a project titled, Replace Camp Hot Water Heater.
FCI Danbury is a federal correctional facility located at 33 ½ Pembroke Rd, Danbury CT 06811. The purpose of the project is to install a new 6 Rack water heating Tankless Rack System (TRS) at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC), Danbury, CT. The work will encompass the Camp mechanical room.
The awarded contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, transportation, services, etc., required to complete the installation of the water heating TRS, related electro-mechanical controls, fittings, water valves, circulator pump, condensate pump, tapping the cold main in and hot out, appurtenances normally used in hot water supply and distribution systems, the natural gas train or supply system and the flue gas vent and intake system. This will include furnishing and installing the equipment, controls, pipes, valves, and fittings, testing and cleaning the work area.
The period of performance for the project will be 60 calendar days from the issuance of the notice to proceed.
Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimate magnitude of this project lies between $25,000 and $100,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within the range.)
Important: Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. In order to qualify for award, your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the size standard specified in this solicitation.
Each bidder's SAM registration will be reviewed to confirm that your business size meets the small business standard require. All bidders are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary, including size metrics information.
This is a 100% small business set aside. You must be registered in SAM as a small business (see FAR 52.219-1 in the Representations & Certifications section of your SAM registration).
The NAICS code for this requirement is 238220 with a corresponding small business size standard of $15 million.
