REQUEST FOR INFORMATION


The Government is issuing this Request for Information to determine a competitive basis for the procurement described. This is not a solicitation. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this survey.


This survey is for market research purposes only. Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this Request for Information.


Requirement


The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Detroit District, anticipates a requirement for a firm fixed-price construction contract for the repairs to the Superior Entry North Pier, Duluth-Superior Harbor, St. Louis County, MN. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.


The Contractor will be responsible for the following activities/items under the proposed contract:


1. Mobilizing to the site in Duluth-Superior Harbor, MN-WI and repairs to the Superior Entry North Pier.


2. The total length of repairs to the north pier is approximately 1,000 linear feet. Repairs consist of encasing the existing north pier structure in steel sheet pile, stone fill, grout, and a reinforced concrete cap.


3. Demobilization from the site when work is completed.

The anticipated NAICS code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a size standard of $36,500,000.
