Tooele Army Depot (TEAD), Joint Munitions Command, has a requirement for scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled repair and maintenance services for various types of depot equipment and vehicles at TEAD. The required services support the mission-readiness of the following types of equipment--emergency vehicles (fire trucks), engineer equipment (cranes, dozers, motor graders, and trackhoes), material handling equipment (forklifts, straddle carriers and aerial maintenance platforms), tracked combat vehicles (M113A1), powered ground and generation equipment (generators and compressors-both engine and electric powered), etc.

Performance of the work encompasses skill sets/labor disciplines such as Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Supervisor, Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic, General Equipment Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, Welder and Motor Vehicle Operator providing the required services. Scheduled preventive maintenance services and unscheduled repair/maintenance services to be structured on a time and materials/labor hour pricing basis.


This requirement contemplates a potential 3 year contract (base & 2 option years). Any potential contract will establish the fixed hourly labor rate(s) and material handling amount applicable for each period of performance and will include a ceiling amount that the contractor exceeds at its own risk.


This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. It should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose nor will the Government pay for information solicited.


Responses to this Sources Sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.


Approximate workload for the past 3 years:


Unscheduled Repair Labor Hours: 2016- 5,843 hours; 2017 - 6,609 hours; 2018 - 5,540 hours.


Scheduled Preventative Maintenance: 2016 - 4,508 hours; 2017 - 7,107 hours; 2018 - 3,808 hours.


Responses must include the following:


1) Company name and address


2) Business size classification (Small, Small Disadvantaged (SDB), 8(a), Woman-owned (WOSB), Veteran Owned (VOSB), Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SD-VOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) businesses, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)/Minority Institutions (MI)
including the number of employees and the number of years in business.


3) Interested offerors shall provide a detailed summary of their capabilities and past performance experience on similar efforts. In addition to the description of the contracts also include contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement, and point of contact address and phone number.
