The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 23, Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System Construction Contracting Product Line Team is soliciting for a construction project for Grand Island VA Health Care System in Nebraska that shall include, but not be limited to, furnishing all services necessary to adequately support the installation of an air-cooled chiller at the Grand Island VAMC. The Project 636-18-113, Install Air Cooled Chiller, Grand Island, will consist of the installation of a new air-cooled chiller and ancillary equipment including: new controls, all required safety items and other system modifications or enhancements required for the new chiller to function with the existing water-cooled chiller system that will remain. The air-cooled chiller system shall have the following features: nominal 230 Ton capacity scroll chiller, Indoor brazed plate heat exchanger connected to the existing primary piping system, add VFD drives to the 3 existing primary chilled water pumps, incorporate output of existing chiller water and steam metering system into the BAS, and Install a screen wall/fence around the outdoor chiller for security and visual appearance. The work will be required to be completed within 180 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP).
The estimated construction cost is between $1M and $2M.
Solicitation Number 36C26319B0009 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about May 31, 2019. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project.
An Organized site visit will be held, see solicitation for date and time.
The date for request for bids is tentatively scheduled for June 28, 2019 (see solicitation when available for specific information.)
The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, or Irrevocable Letter of Credit within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is 180 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
