VA Central Healthcare System, Fresno
B. 24 Furniture

Introduction
A new administrative activation is being conducted in Fresno which is part of the VA Central California Healthcare System (VACCHCS) 2615 E. Clinton Ave Fresno, CA 93703. It is an outlying office in Fresno consisting of Business Administration Services and Voluntary Services. It is the 1st floor of Building 24 separate from the primary building on campus and will consist of administrative staff. VACCHCS is focused on creating a functional working environment and will be incorporate that principal.
2. Scope of Work
The scope of work includes: the quotation, manufacturing, delivery and installation of Swiftspace quick assembly, collapsible, self-containing systems furniture and ancillary furniture items that are approved by the VACCHCS, Fresno Interior Designer. The project consists of but is not limited to systems furniture, office furniture, mobile meeting units, mobile privacy walls, and storage to support the outfitting of the space. Finishes/ fabrics already selected for this project shall be taken into consideration when selecting the additional items in this contract. The Interior Designer will approve any additional fabric/finishes not already selected. Vendor/ contractor shall address the needs of patient populations, such as the elderly, spinal cord injuries, Behavioral Health, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, etc.
3. Work Requirements
Vendor/contractor shall collaborate with VA Interior Designer on selection of items for this contract. Vendor/ contractor will be provided a furniture floor plan. Vendor/contractor shall provide a furniture schedule with images of items selected for this project and will include cut sheets and physical finish/fabric samples. Items selected shall be commercial grade in order to meet design intent and shall be fabrics/ finishes that can be wiped down/bleachable, moisture barrier.
4. Delivery
Items ordered for this project shall be delivered to, 2615 E. Clinton Ave Fresno, CA 93703. VA will not provide warehouse access for this delivery. Inside delivery to the 1St floor and installation will be required.
5. Point of Contact
Vendor/contractor supervisor shall provide contact information to include a valid phone number to the VACCHCS, Fresno Interior Designer and alternate representative.

7. Period of Performance
Installation timeframe must be approved by the VA COR and scheduled during regular business hours. Hours are: Monday-Friday 0700-1530, excluding government holidays listed below. All deliveries need to be scheduled for Monday-Friday as well, between the hours of 0830-1530.

Vendor/contractor is responsible for the preliminary selection of items for this contract. Vendor/ contractor will be provided a furniture floor plan. Vendor/contractor shall provide a furniture schedule with images of items selected for this project and will include a cut sheets and physical finish/fabric samples. Items selected shall be commercial grade in order to meet design intent and shall be fabrics/ finishes that can be wiped down or has a moisture barrier.
9. Waste
All debris shall be removed from the VACCHCS, Fresno property daily and recycled and/or legally disposed of by vendor off site.
10. Security
Vendor/contractor shall require each employee carry a valid government issued ID (ex. current driver s license) to provide to the VA Police Dispatch. Police Dispatch will issue a badge that is required for VACCHCS, Fresno access for the duration of project install. Badges are to be returned to police dispatch at the completion of project install.
11. Special Consideration
Floor will be activated Match 5, 2019.
12. Smoking Policy
Smoking on government property is strictly prohibited. Contractor/ vendor shall use the smoking structure located in Parking Lot C, or smoke in outside designated areas at least 50ft away from all buildings.
13. Public/Traffic Regulations
The vendor/contractor shall not park on grassy areas unless approved by the COR. Drivers must be particularly concerned with pedestrian traffic. Yield to pedestrians in crosswalks. Posted speed limits and all other traffic controls are to be observed by operators at all times. Seat belt use is mandatory on the VACCHCS grounds. Vendor/contractor will park in areas not designated as patient parking.
14. Warranty
Warranty for furniture shall be for a period of 10 years for commercial applications for 24/7 usage, with the exception of fabric coverings. Warranty for all other items shall be for at least 3 years.
15. Payment
Payment shall be issued when: the installation is complete and punch-list cleared and has been accepted and signed off by the COR. All site debris removed, areas vacuumed, furniture cleaned and/or polished. Final close out binder with drawings, manufactures information, warranty, contacts, etc. is provided to the VA COR
