The General Services Administration, Region 9, is considering awarding via a competitive 8(a), a firm fixed price contract for three federal buildings located in Reno and Carson City, Nevada. Included with preventive maintenance services will be maintenance for Elevator and Vertical Transportation equipment.  Utilizing a Performance Based Statement of Work(PBSOW), the contractor shall provide management, supervision, labor, travel, equipment and supplies and shall be responsible for the efficient, economical and satisfactory operation, schedule and unscheduled maintenane, repair of equipment and systems including vertical transportation and all related services, located within the property line of the above locations.  The applicable classification code is 8744 - Facilities Management Support Services.

Specific objectives for such a project may include:

Electrical systems and equipment
Mechanical, plumbing and heating, ventilation, exhaust systems and air conditioning (HVAC)systems and equipment
Fire Protection and life safety systems and equipment throughout the building(s)
Service Desk Operations
Fuel tank storage, including the underground storage tank(UST)

A contractor must be a qualified 8(a) small business for this NAICS code and has performed similar projects.  We request the information as shown be below be returned to the contracting officer. An organization that is not considered a small business under applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice.

As permitted by FAR Part 10, this is a market research tool being utilized for information and planning purposes.  Your responses will assist the Government in the development of its acquisition strategy for possible Request for Proposal(RFP) to be issued at a later date, and in determining whether any type of small business set-aside is possible for this procurement or whether full and open competition  procedures should be utilized.

This request shall not be considered as a RFP or as any commitment of obligation on the part of the Government to issue a solicitation.  Responses via email are due no later than 4pm, Pacific time, Tuesday, October 22, 2019, to Mr. Joel Burks, 415-522-2643/joel.burks@gsa.gov. ; Late responses will not be accepted.  This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain any questions.
