Notice of Intent to Sole Source
Network 23 Contracting Office anticipates awarding a sole source procurement
to Alliant Enterprises, LLC who is a registered SDVOSB. NAICS Code 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing, with a size standard of 750 employees will be utilized. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1
Due to the existing space limitations as well as the existing wall opening dimensions of the utility closet where the Sterilizers will be installed, it has been determined through Market Research, that the Skytron Integrity 175 is the only available and Technically Acceptable Sterilizer on the market that will fit into the existing space without significant modifications.
Furthermore, it was determined to be cost prohibitive to modify the existing wall openings and space due to the cost of construction. Additionally, there is a very high potential, as determined by VA Des Moines Engineering, that any modification to the existing space would also expose asbestos containing mastic, requiring asbestos abatement.
A Request for Information (RFI) was posted on www.FedBizOps.gov from 12 February 2019 to 28 February 2019. Alliant Enterprises LLC., who is an SDVOSB, provided the only response to the RFI and stated that they are the only authorized Skytron LLC. distributor for this region. Skytron LLC. was contacted and verified that Alliant Enterprises is the only authorized distributor
No solicitation will be issued. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes or information.
