Maintenance Renewal for AKTA FPLC
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open basis with the vendor GE Healthcare, 100 Results Way, Marlborough, MA 01752 for maintenance renewal for AKTA FPLC Model # 18111867, Serial # 001193. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR Part 13.501(a)(1). GE Healthcare is the Original Equipment Manufacture and does not authorize any third-party vendors to conduct maintenance services on their equipment, in accordance with their required specifications, and have certified technicians and parts to maintain the equipment and therefore subcontracting possibilities are not an option. The anticipated period of performance is for a base year plus 2 one-year option periods. Anticipated Period of Performance is 4/1/19 to 3/31/22. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible, and replacement parts must be compatible with existing equipment. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. All responsible sources that can provide these services may submit a response that will be considered. The response should include the certification from GE Healthcare that you are authorized to obtain OEM parts to maintain the above reference equipment. Also provide past performance demonstrating the successful performance of this type of services. All responses in writing shall be submitted to Lawrence Bland Jr. at blandl@mail.nih.gov. All responses received by the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
