Kanopolis Lake Trash Rack project, Marquette Kansas


Project duration 120 days from NTP.

The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue a solicitation for a Firm Fixed Price Supply contract for fabrication of trash racks for the Kanopolis Lake Dam, located near the city of Marquette Kansas (Ellsworth County)

The Bids will be due approximately 30 days later. The solicitation, including any amendments, shall establish the official opening and closing dates and times.


The general scope of work includes, but is not limited to: the Contractor shall furnish all services, permits, materials, supplies, labor, equipment, superintendence, travel, and any and all other services as required in connection with lead-based paint debris and settled dust cleaning, lead-based paint stabilization, and disposal services.


This solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) which will result in the award of a single firm fixed price (FFP) supply contract. The estimated performance period for completion of construction project will be noted in the actual solicitation.



The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 332313, Plate Work Manufacturing, which includes Racks, Small business size standard of 750 employees.

This solicitation will be issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside. In accordance with FAR Part 19, and in coordination with the Small Business Administration (SBA), all responsible Small Business sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency.


Proposals received in response to this solicitation will be evaluated in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15. Proposals will be accepted and considered by email. Any proposals sent by email must be sent to both email addresses listed below in the POC portion.

Please note there are special requirements related to sending/hand delivering your bids to the federal building. Be sure to arrive early in case you have any problems with security. A valid photo identification card issued by the state (& recognized by the federal government) or federal government will be required to enter the Federal Building (for example a federally approved driver's license, military identification card, passport, or an issued state or federal identification card). Keep in mind there is limited street parking around the Federal Building
