Fabric Liners Pre-Cuts for Army APFU Trunk Program
This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and the solicitation will be available at the Federal Business Opportunities website. The solicitation number is CT2257-19 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-99. The North American Industry Classification System code is 313240 knit fabric mills, the SBA small business size standard is 500 employees.
This requirement is SET-ASIDE 100% FOR SMALL BUSINESS. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. intends to enter into a one (1) year with two (2) options, firm-fixed price Requirements type contract with an EPA clause for the following commercial items: a) Liner fabric pre-cuts, 4-way stretch polyester/spandex pique knit, 90% polyester/10% spandex (+/-2%), color Army black 557. Liners shall have a moisture management capability.
b) Side panel insert, 2-way stretch polyester/spandex interlock knit, 85% polyester/15% spandex (+/- 2%), color Army black 557. The knit fabric pre-cuts and side panel inserts are for use in manufacturing Army APFU trunks for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
