Enhanced Data Collection, Evaluation, and Analysis of Brain and Central Nervous System Malignant and non-Malignant Tumors
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to the Central Brain Tumor Registry of the United States (CBTRUS). This contract is for enhanced data collection, evaluation, and analysis of brain and central nervous system malignant and non-malignant tumors. The CBTRUS is the only population-based site-specific registry in the US that works in partnership with a public cancer surveillance organization, the CDC's National Program Cancer Registries (NPCR), and from which data are directly received under a special agreement. Its database is comprised of the largest histology-specific aggregation of population-based data limited to the incidence of primary brain and central nervous system tumors in the US.
This contract is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive responses; however, all proposals received within 15 days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
