AMENDMENT 0002: THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO EXTEND THE CLOSING DATE OF THE SOLICITATION TO 14 NOVEMBER, 2019 TO ALLOW ADDITIONAL TIME TO ANSWER INDUSTRY QUESTIONS.


AMENDMENT 0001: THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO POST THE ASSOCIATED REQUEST FOR QUOTES


This announcement is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov. It is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitation to the internet.

This is a synopsis for noncommercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 13 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number N66604-20-Q-0225 is issued simultaneously along side this announcement. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the most current Federal Acquisition Circular. 


The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for build-to-print Drive-idler Bearings and Roller assembly parts. This solicitation will be open for less than 30 days, in accordance with FAR 5.203(b). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332999. The Small Business Size Standard is 750 employees. This procurement is being solicited as a total small-business set-aside. The NUWCDIVNPT Office for Small Business Programs concurs.


The Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) structure is identified below.


CLIN 0001: Quantity of four (4) Thrust Bearing Drive Drums in accordance with drawing #: 53X-01-121


CLIN 0002: Quantity of twenty (20) Bushings in accordance with drawing #: 53X-01-152


CLIN 0003: Quantity of thirteen (13) Spacers in accordance with drawing #: 53X-01-169


CLIN 0004: Quantity of six (6) Idler Bearings in accordance with drawing #: 53X-01-122


CLIN 0005: Quantity of one (1) Driver Spacer in accordance with drawing #: 53X-01-129


CLIN 0006: Quantity of two (2) Idler Spacer in accordance with drawing #: 53X-01-130


CLIN 0007: Quantity of four (4) Hex Draft Shafts in accordance with drawing #: 7443662


CLIN 0008: Data associated with CDRL DD form 1423 (not separately priced)


CLIN 0009: Shipping costs for FOB Destination to Newport, Rhode Island


The Government shipping method will be FOB Destination. Please include applicable charges.


Please note: due to the distribution rating of the drawings, offerors must be JCP certified to receive all attachments


The Government has determined that this requirement does not include Electronic and Information Technology (EIT), therefore, Section 508 requirements do not apply.
The following addenda or additional terms and conditions apply: Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating is DO-C9.


In order to be determined technically acceptable: (1) the offeror must quote items which meet the requirements specified, no substitutions allowed, in the required quantities; and (2) the Government will consider past performance information in accordance with DFARS provision 252.213-7000 where negative information within PPIRS-SR, now known as SPRS, may render a quote being deemed technically unacceptable.
