THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for the inmate population at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Lexington, Kentucky. Services to be provided shall include inpatient/outpatient hospital services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, and outpatient institution services. FMC Lexington is a facility which houses male federal offenders of all security levels with health care issues and female federal offenders who are housed at an adjacent minimum security prison camp. The anticipated contract type is indefinite delivery requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal.  The estimated quantities for the base and four-one year option periods, if exercised, are as follows: estimated 220 inpatient days and 3500 outpatient visits.  Due to the volume of information, quantities of outpatient institution services will be provided in the solicitation document.   The Market Research Questionnaire and Statement of Work will be available on or about Friday, March 18, 2016 and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. A government proposal to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interest parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The date of receipt of the market research is Thursday, April 7, 2016, 1:00 p.m., Central Time (CT). The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 622110.
