Information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 2,
Network Contracting Office (NCO2) for Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768 conducting a market survey for firms capable of providing the following:
Communications & Information Technology Infrastructure Services/ installations.
The contractor shall provide the Northport VA Medical Center (VAMC) with communications infrastructure support including, but not limited to, labor, material, expertise, management, and transportation as required to perform tasks. The proposed support will complement existing facility work forces. The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items or services required to perform services.
The contractor shall be in compliance with manufacturers written instructions, applicable standards/specifications and in accordance with recognized industry practices. Contract personnel shall provide industry standards certifications. Contractor personnel shall have at least one year certified experienced with industry certification in performing telecommunication infrastructure installations to include cabling and distribution systems. Familiarity with government standard processes, cyber policies, procedures, requirements, and practices is required.
Contractor must be geographically located within 35 miles proximity to the Northport VAMC to meet time critical requirements, i.e. emergency outage repairs, flexibility to accommodate various meetings and site surveys that may occur multiple times per week.
The contractor shall provide support for communications infrastructure upgrades and new installations as defined in this SOW. Examples of tasks include: installation, upgrade, repair and removal of communications equipment, communications transport cabling; wireless LAN mounting; fiber optic cable, splicing and termination of fiber optic cable; fiber optic patch panels; fiber to the desktop; installation of CAT 5E certified cabling systems, installation of back boards; cable trays; raceways; J-Hooks; data and voice jacks; telephone punch down blocks and cross connects.
The contractor shall be responsible for material and part purchases incidental to IT/Communication services provided under each individual call order. All products shall be made in the USA to meet Trade Agreements Act (TAA) (19 U.S.C. & 2501-2581) requirements. Refurbished or remanufactured equipment/materials will not be accepted.
The Contractor shall identify a Project Lead for reliable and expedient means of notification for the Government to obtain timely responses for requirements defined in each individual call order. Response times for voice notifications from contractors is within one hour and during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Response time for email is within the next Government business day.
The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 238210 Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing via email and must be received not later than Friday March 22, 2019 4:30 PM EST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 238210. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities for which you have provided services.
