This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and the solicitation will be available at the Federal Business Opportunities website. The solicitation number is CT2173-14 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-74. The North American Industry Classification System code is 314999 - All Other Miscellaneous Textile Product Mills, the SBA small business size standard is 500 employees.
This requirement is set-aside 100% for small business. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. intends to enter into a two (2) year with 2 options, firm-fixed-price Requirements type contract for the following commercial item: quilted lining fabric, gold, three (3) various weights for use in the manufacture of inmate jackets and coats. The finished goods are for sale to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
