This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and the solicitation will be available at the Federal Business Opportunities website. The solicitation number is CT2165-14 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-73. The North American Industry Classification System code is 337910 - Mattress Manufacturing, the SBA small business size standard is 500 employees.
This requirement is unrestricted. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. intends to enter into a one (1) year with 4 options, firm-fixed-price Requirements type contract for the following commercial items: mattress covers, various sizes and fabric types, for use in assembling tamper-resistant, RF (radio frequency) welded sealed seam, vented mattresses. The finished mattress products are for sale to the Federal Bureau of Prisons and other federal government agencies.
