Work is located at Canyon Ferry Powerplant approximately 17 miles east of Helena, Montana, in Lewis and Clark County.

The principal components of work to be performed include the following:

The work consists of removing and disposing of existing bridge crane motors and control equipment, electrical wiring, associated enclosures, trolley power rails; furnishing, installing, and testing new motors and variable frequency drive (VFD) crane controls, a new grounded rail conductor, and trolley festoon power system; removing and disposing of hoist ropes; furnishing and installing new hoist ropes; performing system checkout and commissioning, operation and maintenance training and certified crane load tests; and certifying crane lifting devices.


TYPE OF CONTRACT:

This requirement is solicited as a/an Request for Proposal (RFP) using the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation. The Bureau of Reclamation anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed Price contract.


MAGNITUDE OF PROJECT:

Between $500,000 and $1,000,000

BUSINESS SIZE COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS:

This acquisition is solicited as total small business set-aside.

PRE-PROPOSAL SITE VISIT: A pre-proposal site visit will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. (MST) local time. The meeting will start promptly at the Bureau of Reclamation, Canyon Ferry Field Office, 7700 Canyon Ferry Road, Helena, Montana 59602 and proceed to the powerplant from there. Prospective offerors interested in attending the pre-proposal site visit should contact Linda Melnick at ReclamationB?s Regional Office. Email: lmelnick@usbr.gov. Attendees shall bring and wear safety boots, hard hats, safety vests.
