The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of art therapist services to be provided services on behalf of the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex located in Butner, North Carolina.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621399 (Size Standard: $7.5 million). A session will equal one (1) hour. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year are 1560 sessions per year. The individual providing these services shall possess, at a minimum, a Master's degree in Art Therapy from a nationally accredited University or College and be registered and board certified by the Art Therapy Credentialing Board (ATCB). The contractor shall have a thorough working knowledge of DSM-1V diagnoses, psychological treatment modalities and criminology and possess a minimum of two years of working/practicing experience as an art therapist. The art therapist will be required to possess and maintain Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certification, in accordance with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. All services will be performed at FCC Butner, NC. The Federal Correctional Complex is located at Old NC Hwy 75, Butner, NC 27509. FCC Butner includes the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Low Security Correctional Institution (LSCI), Federal Correctional Institution I (FCI-1), Federal Correctional Institution II (FCI-11), and the Federal Prison Camp (Camp). These services will normally consist of 30 one (1) hour sessions per week, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch period, (if applicable). All other qualification and requirements will be detailed in the solicitation.


The contract shall consist of a base year with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be made available on or about December 31, 2014 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is January 30, 2015. Anticipated date of award is in March of 2015. This will be a full and open competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
