The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Officer 20 (NCO 20) is contemplating multiple award IDIQ s to provided air ambulance services in Alaska for a period of five years.

Market research is being conducted to determine the availability of potential businesses with capabilities to provide services under the following stipulations:

Anticipated NAICS code is 621910 Ambulance Services, comprising of establishments primarily engaged in providing transportation of patients by ground/air, along with medical care.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Contractor shall provide services to Department of Veterans Affairs Care facilities throughout Alaska and to the Puget Sound VAHCS. Services shall be available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
We have divided
All patients are to be transported by critical care air transport when transfers occur from the Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit and Step Down Unit and/or when the physician designates a patient as a critical care transport. It is further understood that only a licensed trained physician or registered nurse will be designated as the medical flight attendant in accordance with the standards of CAMTS. Critical care air transports require an additional team member for a minimum of two medical attendants, for example, but not limited to RN/RN, RN/PA, RN/MD, RN/EMT-P. All personnel shall be available for each transport within an agreed upon response time between the Contractor and the Alaska VA Healthcare System.

INSTRUCTIONS TO RESPOND:

Interested firms shall respond to this notice no later than 6:00 PM Pacific Time on 23 June 2019. All responses shall be submitted electronically to jacob.jackson2@va.gov . Feedback is welcome. Please note, responses will be shared within the Government and project team, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence.

Vendor response must include at a minimum:

Name of Business;
Point of Contact Name, Phone Number, and E-Mail Address;
CAGE Code and DUNS Number to show proof of registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov;
Short Description of Capabilities in relation to this sources sought ONLY;
Provide short description on how you as a Small Business will meet the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirement of performing at least 50% of the contractual work.

Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence of the Vendor s capability of meeting this requirement.
