Title: A12 Motor/Rotor
Description: The A 12 Motor is a 2 pole, 3 phase 27,500 HP synchronous motor used to power an air supply compressor in AEDC's Aero propulsion Systems Test Facility. The motor rotor is about 50 inches in diameter, about 180 inches long and weighs approximately 16,600 lbs. The rotor/shaft assembly is supported by pocket journal type bearings mounted on external pedestals.
