The Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO 21) intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for Project 640-19-913, Building 7 Chiller #2 Replacement

The contractor shall provide all tools, travel, trades, labor, materials, permits, licenses and supervision for complete construction services per specifications and drawings. Site location is at the Palo Alto Campus, 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto CA, 94304.

This project is to remove/dispose of the current air-cooled water chiller, and the installation and integration of a new air-cooled water chiller to include all required hardware and equipment to create a full and complete operating system.

The construction period of performance will be 90 days from issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP). This project is being solicited as a total 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).

IAW VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of this project is between $ 250,000 and $ 500,000.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with the Small Business Size Standard of $15M.

The solicitation is tentatively scheduled to be released on or about 28 March 2019. The location, date and time of the site visit conference will be in the solicitation. Proposals will be due 30 days from the solicitation issue date. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation.

The contract will be awarded in accordance with the procedures specified in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued as an IFB conducted in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 14 Sealed Bidding.

The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be available only from the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, on-line at www.fbo.gov. All parties must obtain solicitation documents and amendments to the solicitation through FBO. Hard copies will not be mailed. It is the responsibility of all contractors to frequently check the website for all notices, amendment, etc., regarding this solicitation. The Government will not be responsible for any notification not sent or received by the contractor regarding the solicitation.

In accordance with FAR 5.203, this notice is being published at least fifteen days before issuance of the solicitation.
