The Canandaigua, NY VA Medical Center located at 400 Fort Hill Road, Canandaigua, NY 14424, intends to release an invitation for bid (IFB) numbered 36C24219B0053, Project No. 528A5-19-520 to upgrade the uninterrupted power system campus wide.
This project proposes to furnish and install a completed uninterrupted power system (UPS). The work includes:
Furnishing and installation of new UPS modules, transformers (as required) IT smart card remove service connections, monitoring software and activations of the total listed UPS and IT switch systems.
Perform a survey of existing receptacles, plugs and outlets currently in use.
Provide correct NEMA receptacles and plugs for power feed to the new UPS units.
A background investigation will be required for one contractor personnel who is accessing the VA IT room. This person must be present to serve as an escort to any other contractor personnel.
Aspects of this project will be required to be performed outside normal VA working hours.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 238210, with a Small Business Size Standard of $15.0 Million. THIS IS SET ASIDE 100% FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS. Offers from other than service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected.
Potential bidders must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) and be listed as a CERTIFIED SDVOSB and be VERIFIED in the VetBiz database. Firms may obtain VetBiz information at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.
The estimated magnitude of this construction project is: Between $250,000 and $500,000.
The firms are required to self-perform 25% of the work and will be required to show in detail the breakdown to be submitted with the bid.
Payment and Performance Bonds will be required.
A 20% Bid Bond will be required and must be submitted with the bid.
Unless additional notice is given, or this notice is modified, the full IFB and any applicable specifications and drawings will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov) o/a August 9, 2019. There is no charge for solicitation documents. Bids will be due 30 calendar days after the IFB is posted to FBO.
This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201, 5.203 and 5.204.
