Projects Currently Out for Solicitation
In an effort to get plans and specifications to you faster and
easier the City of Vancouver has partnered with the Builders Exchange
of Washington (BXWA) to bring you online plans and specifications. City
public works construction projects (over $35,000) will be posted on
BXWA's website, www.bxwa.com,
for viewing, downloading and printing. You can now print plans and
specifications at your desktop and there is no cost to you. To access
projects click on Posted Projects; Public Works; City of Vancouver and
Projects Bidding or you can click the link in the project description
below. You can also send print orders to reprographic centers for
printing, prices and locations are listed on the web page. In addition
one of the features they offer is a free on-line digitizer/take-off
tool.
Effective Monday, September 1, 2008 the City of
Vancouver will no longer provide paper copies of formal bid projects,
maintain planholders lists or send addenda notices directly to
contractors for formal bid projects. Bidders are
encouraged to "Register in order to receive automatic email
notification of addenda and to be placed on the "Bidders List."
In addition effective Monday, September 1, 2008 the City
of Vancouver will no longer maintain a planholders list for small works
quotes or send addenda notices directly to contractors. This information is available through the Builder's Exchange of Washington (BXWA). Small
Works bidders are encouraged to "Register" in order to receive
automatic email notification of addenda and to be placed on the
"Bidders List".
If you are registered on our small works or formal bid
roster you will continue to receive notifications of upcoming projects
in your specific areas of expertise from us. We will also continue to maintain our Projects Currently out for Solicitation page with direct links to BXWA and our projects.
Please note that Request for Proposals, Request for Qualifications,
Commodity Bids and Commodity Quotes will continue to be available
through the City free of charge. You can request your copies
through the link provided.

proposals for the refurbishment of an existing Vancouver Fire
Department tractor-drawn aerial. The unit consists of a 1998 American
LaFrance tractor with a 1998 Ladder Towers Inc. trailer and QS 100
aerial ladder.

the re-development of approximately 1/2-acre of the existing park site
