seeking submittals from qualified Architectural/Engineering firms interested in providing services for the expansion
The College is seeking submittals from qualified Architectural/Engineering firms interested in providing services for the expansion of the Dining Hall at the College Center.
The College's plans for the dining expansion include the following;
- Relocate the existing storefront wall and metal panel system from the current location (between Grids 7 and 10) to the south side of the expanded seating area.
- Use or re-use as much of the existing construction as possible.
- Existing construction along the east side of the expanded dining hall (Grid 10) remains as is.
- Cantilever the relocated storefront beyond the edge of the existing foundation.
- The extended seating area will not provide a connection into the existing terrace above.
- Existing slab will remain and will be finished to match the adjacent slab in the board dining area.
- All efforts will be made to match the interior finishes and lighting in the adjacent hall.
Mesa State College anticipates construction to begin on or around May 16, 2011 with a final completion date on or before Monday, August 1, 2011.
