Department of Veterans Affairs, Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center Research & Development, Richmond VAMC has a requirement to purchase Easy Stand PNG50024 Glider, Large and components (Brand Name or Equal), as described below, to be utilized in support of a research project. The standing frame will be used to help participants prepare for exoskeleton assisted walking (EAW) in association with the study protocol for CSP 2003, VA central IRB project 15-11, titled Exoskeletal-Assisted Walking in Persons with SCI: Impact on Quality of Life . The standing frame will be used during the screening phase of the study. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (large business, small business, 8(a), SDVOSB, etc.), relative to NAICS code 339112. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Based on responses to this synopsis, the Government may issue this RFQ as a Brand Name or Equal requirement in accordance with VAAR Clause 852.211-73 on eBuy or Fed Biz Ops.
