continued Maintenance of Life Technologies' Laboratory Equipment
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention contemplates award of a sole source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to Life Technologies, 5791 Van Allen Way, Carlsbad, CA 92008-7321, for continued annual maintenance on five (5) pieces of laboratory equipment located at CDC’s campus in Fort Collins, Colorado. The pieces are as follows: 3130-16 Genetic analyzer, S/N 17214-011; 7500FAST DX Service, S/N 275011263; 7500FAST DX Service, S/N 275030245; 7500FAST Real Time PCR System, S/N 275014032; and Ion OneTouch 2.0 System, S/N 2456252-0684. Period of performance will be for one year starting July 1, 2014, or at date of award, and are AB Assurance 1PM plans. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
