continued Force Requirements Generator (FORGE) software model maintenance support and development to meet new and enhanced force and logistics requirements
FORGE is owned and run by the Center for Army Analysis for major Army force structure studies such as Total Army Analysis (TAA). FORGE computes administrative and logistical workloads based on data from a theater campaign simulation and uses these workloads along with a series of unit existence and workload allocation rules to generate the balanced and time-phased support force structure to sustain a combat force. FORGE is the accepted model of choice by the TAA stakeholder community to develop enabler support force requirements. Major elements of support addressed are maintenance, construction, supply, transportation, personnel, casualty support, hospitalization/evacuation, and personnel replacement.
