Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance Rewrite
The City is seeking qualified planning consultants to submit a proposal to provide professional services for the preparation of a new Comprehensive Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance, including a new zoning map. The existing Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance is fifty (50) years old and needs to be completely rewritten from definitions to design guidelines. The ordinance needs to be updated with the best planning practices and should contain the minimum standards for governing streets, utilities, sidewalk and other required improvements. Adequate regulations for development, disaster mitigation and preparedness that will coordinate the resiliency of the City, drainage, etc. need to be included in the updated ordinance as well.
