The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS), Nebraska Program needs vendors capable of supplying Zinc Phosphide coated steam crimped oats containing 2% Zinc Phosphide, inert ingredients 98.0%.



SPECIFICATIONS:


Zinc Phosphide, used for Prairie Dog Bait, on steam crimped oats shall be coated with 2% Zinc Phosphide active ingredient, 98.0%, inert ingredients registered for the control of Black-tailed (Cynomys ludovicianus) prairie dogs on rangelands in Nebraska Package. Package labeling shall read "for use from July only to February of the next year", including statements pertaining to necessary precautions, warning of environmental hazards and instructions on storage and disposal.


The Zinc Phosphide Prairie Dog Bait must be registered with the Nebraska Department of Agriculture for use in Nebraska, and registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and meet the standards set forth for use in Nebraska.

This is not a request for competitive proposals, but instead a market research method to determine interested sources. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government will not award a contract based on the information received. Any submission of information or materials will be provided on a strictly voluntary basis and are non reimbursible.
