The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, Maryland in support of the US Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) is issuing this solicitation to procure a system upgrade to the existing Zeiss SIGMA VP-40 Scanning Electron Microscope to include: PC Upgrade Kit (includes enhanced PC), Image Maths Software, 3D Surface Modeling, Image Stitching Kit, Stage Registration Software, Compatable system monitors, and Installation. USAMRAA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.501) with Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC, One Carl Zeiss Drive, Thornwood, NY 10594. Request for Information (RFI) W81XWH-19-0-2512 was posted on https://www.fbo.gov/ from 09 August 2019 to 13 August 2019 with no responses received. An Intent to Sole Source Notice was posted on https://www.fbo.gov/ from 30 August 2019 to 14 September 2019 with no responses received. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 333314 with a size standard of 500 employees.
