Project Description
In a remote location, the Contractor shall construct the following improvements:
1. The rehabilitation of three timber vehicular bridge structures that range in height from 30 to 60 feet. Improvements include repair of timber bents, removal and replacement of timber deck and asphalt pavement, removal and replacement of deck rails, minor repairs to abutments, and minor slope stabilization work. The bridges exist along a half mile section of a paved road adjacent to a campground.


2. The rehabilitation of a concrete overpass structure of a height of approximately 18 feet. Improvements include the replacement of the parapet walls, the replacement of the bridge deck, the removal and replacement of bridge rails, asphalt paving of bridge approaches, and minor work to repair spalls and other damage.


3. Both bridge projects will require work zone traffic control, permanent signage and striping, and standard erosion control items.


All work shall be performed in a manner that will not impact cultural or natural resources. Firms interested in the project should possess the following specialized skills and experience and address these skills and experience in their responses to this Notice.


1. Provide descriptions of projects that demonstrate the following elements: repairs to timber and concrete bridges, paving work, and work that required work zone traffic control in a high traffic area.


2. Provide a description of experience working in a National Park, remote location, or similar venue.


3. Provide a letter from your bonding company to confirm a bonding capacity of $5 million.
