The City of Columbia, South Carolina (City) is requesting combined proposals (RFP) from software vendors and implementation respondents to provide a GIS-Centric Work Order and Inventory Management System. The system should provide functionality for a call center, work order, storeroom and asset management system, for the Citys Public Works and Utilities and Engineering Departments. Services incorporated in Phase One of implementation will include the Citys Water and Waste Water Maintenance Divisions, Forestry and Beautification Division, Street Division (to include storm water, sidewalk and street maintenance), and Traffic Engineering. Functionality should be expandable, with capability to support the Citys Parks and Recreation Department, Solid Waste Division and other City service areas as needed. The solution will be a City of Columbia Information Technology compliant internally hosted application. In addition to the required software functionality, implementation services will be required. Implementation services will be better defined following selection of applicable software. The level of implementation services will be determined by the City based on available in-house expertise related to the selected software combined with the particular needs for a respondent to offset in-house capabilities or availability.
This Request for Proposals (RFP) serves as the City of Columbias invitation for experienced firms to submit a sealed proposal for a GIS Centric Work Order and Inventory Management System.
