Work Asset Managemnent Sysytem

Florida, United States
Government : Municipal
RFP

In order to improve the management of the sanitary sewer system assets it owns, the City of Largo
(Largo) intends to procure a Work and Asset Management System (WAMS) with an integrated warehouse
module. The WAMS procured will be expected to track work orders, maintenance activities, parts and
resources.
Serving a customer base population of approximately 110,000 people, the City operates and maintains a
sanitary sewer collection, treatment, and disposal system composed of approximately 255 miles of gravity
sewers, 48 miles of force mains, 52 city-owned lift stations, and one 18 million gallon per day (MGD)
wastewater reclamation facility. The Citys current maintenance management system is primarily paperbased
with a limited use of software for sanitary sewer service request tracking. The current maintenance
management system depends upon the use of OpenOffice spreadsheets and Microsoft Access
databases for service request tracking of system maintenance. The City does not currently utilize any
integration tools to facilitate data sharing across systems or integration with the City's developing
geographical information system (GIS).
