In the 2011 grant cycle, the Women's Fund of Greater Birmingham will consider proposals for programs that promote economic security and self-sufficiency for women and girls. We support innovative programs that strengthen women's economic security and seek to fill gaps in existing service delivery systems. Our goal is to create healthier communities by removing barriers to self-sufficiency and maximize the full potential of women and girls.
Proposals will be accepted from nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations within the eligible five-county area. Requests from public school systems must come from the superintendent's office. If the request is from an individual school, it must be for a project that, if successful, would be duplicated at other schools in the system.
