Fire Rescue is establishing wireless internet access points in forty-two (42) response apparatus to connect to the County's private network over Verizon's cellular network. A private network (tunnel) has already been established between Verizon and Martin County. Hardware will be required to operate
in a 4g LTE network, while being backwards compatible with Verizon and other networks. All cellular modems will be set up in accordance with Verizon specifications including the same "Service Set Identifier" specified name, password, security encryption settings, and assigned static IP addresses.
