Wireless Consulting RFP
The Illinois Department of Central Management Service (CMS) is seeking to procure consulting services in three wireless areas: STARCOM procurement including assistance to the State in the exploration of its procurement options regarding the expiration and replacement of its current STARCOM21 contract in Sept 2011. The STARCOM21 system is a statewide, leased, trunked, ASTRO 25 compliant 700/800 MHz digital voice mobile radio system and serves as the primary system for public safety communications within Illinois for various state, local, county and federal governmental agencies and is owned by Motorola Inc. The system has over 197 sites and provides >95% mobile coverage statewide with a customer base of over 13,000 subscribers. Wireless RFP response and evaluation support through contract negotiations and any post-award support; IWIN consulting including RFI response review, potential RFP development, evaluation support through contract negotiations. The State requires wireless/radio telecomm expertise to support the procurement process and ensure an informed, competitive process.
